The lazing portion of our trip has come and gone. As predicted, we spent an inordinate amount of time doing, well, nothing.
- We sat out by the pool (under an umbrella, of course), occasionally took a dip in the pool to cool off, and swam (walked, actually, as the pool was only 3 feet deep) up to the bar where we (Andy) had a couple of refreshing cocktails.
- We (Andy) ate a Nathan’s Hot Dog, which surprisingly, could be found all over the place.
- We snorkeled at Catalina Cove where we saw abundant marine life just off shore.
- Andy dove off the southeastern side of the island with an awesome guide.
- We ate the customary resort seafood buffet where we ended up sidelining a wedding reception, which made for interesting music and entertainment as well.
- We attempted to go running with little success…the weather was just too hot and we ate way too much food at the buffet.
- We went to Champions (twice) to watch the World Cup…unfortunately for everyone in Aruba it was a sad day.
- We sat out and enjoyed the view from our balcony.
In transit flying out from Aruba, we had most of the day in Curacao to wander around -- Quite a nice little island with a great downtown area.
